To add a piece of equipment

Alternatively, you can click the Barcode Search box in the main database window and scan or type a barcode in (if entering by hand, hit enter when done). If they barcode is new to the database, you will be asked to add new equipment, click yes. If this question does not appear, barcode has already been used. If you are sure the equipment is new, click
on the toolbar.General Tab
Enter in equipment details (Site, Location, Description, Make, Model, Serial No, Frequency)
Set the testing frequency
Click Show Test Types and select relevant tests from the Available Test Categories Column. For information on each test category see the test categories section.
Testing Tab
This tab allows tests to be selected for the equipment needing to be test(s). Choose tests to be done for each piece of equipment. View the Available Test Categories in the right column. By holding down the Ctrl key you can select multiple tests. Selected Test Categories will turn dark blue. Click the assign button to move test to Assigned Test Categories column, double clicking the test will also assign it. If you make a mistake, select the test and click he remove button . You can assign the same test twice if needed, for example, a power board may require each power point to be tested with the same test category. When all desired tests are in the Assigned Test Categories column, click Add.
If You Intend To Print Labels For All Added Equipment:
- Tick the Print new to service box
- Enter details and assign test categories as you would normally
To Add Multiple Equipment
- Click the Multiple option
- Enter the number of items you want to add
Note:
- All details entered will apply to all equipment. You can only use Multiple Add for equipment that is the same in every way, apart from barcode. Serial No. and Asset No. only apply when adding single equipment.
