WinPATS Installation
The basic steps for installing the WinPATS software are:
- Insert WinPATS™ Software Installation CD in to CD drive of computer. The auto start function should load the menu automatically. From the main CD menu click on the "Install WinPATS™" icon. If the auto menu does not appear, read step 2.
- Click the Windows button [ click on the "Install WinPATS™" icon. Windows security message will appear and you need to have administration privileges to contiComputer] and open the WinPATS™ Installation CD (by double clicking on the drive). Open the Launcher.exe file.
- From the main CD menunue. If not, please contact your IT administrator.
- To install WinPATS™ in to the default folder C:\WinPATS 3.x.x\
click [Next >]. To change the folder to which WinPATS™ is installed, click [Change...] to browse and choose a different directory (Please note: it is advised that this option is used by advanced users only. We recommend the program be installed in the default folder.) - To install WinPATS™ click [Install]. To change current settings, click [< Back] (Please note: it is advised that this option is used by advanced users only as the following instructions are based on no settings being changed.)
- To complete installation, click [Finish]
- To run WinPATS™ double click on the desktop icon or go to Start > Programs > WinPATS™.
- First time installers will be required to enter the user details and a product key into the register WinPATS screen. This is not required under re-install.
- Enter your company name, phone number and product key. Only numerical characters can be used in the phone no and product key fields. The 16 digit product key number is found on the back of the CD case or CD envelope.
- If you receive a invalid product key message, double check the number was entered in correctly. If the product key is still invalid, contact Wavecom Instruments for help.
