This maybe a once off message that you should ignore. If it occurs all the time then the computers settings may be incorrect. Most likely cause is the WinPATS™ program was unable to save your registration details or the name and phone number was incorrect in some way. Also please check that your computer does not have user restrictions set. Please check with your company IT manager to resolve this.
This problem is resolved in WinPATS version 3.10.x. If you are using this version or greater and still have this problem fill out the online support form.
- When using WinPATS™ I receive an error message "Runtime error message "<filename>.ocx may not be installed or correctly registered"?
If you receive a message like this, it means that the WinPATS™ installation was not successful and some components were not installed. The user or administrator may have put restrictions on the user that is logged in at the time. Contact your IT administrator for help or try installing WinPATS on another PC.
- When generating reports, I get an error "Runtime error 91: Object variable with block variable not set"?

To fix this, reinstall WinPATS™ under every user that wants to use the program into the same installation directory.
Security settings have been put in place which block certain functionally of the WinPATS™ program. Go to Control Panel > Administrative tools > Local security policy. Check that no rules block installation of files or loading and saving of components. Please do not change these setting unless you have permission from your IT manager first.

When this report program generates the report it looks at the Windows printer preferences and takes them into consideration. If the printer settings are incorrect then the print preview will be incorrect. Please make sure that your printer is set as the default printer and that it is capable of printing on to A4 paper.

-Green light is illuminated on the front of the label printer.
-Under file->Options->Label options make sure the use columns are unticked.

Either Go into File > options > printing tab and fill out the printer status bars or make sure that "Print when done" is not selected in the new equipment dialog box. Also check that in options, print new to service tag is not selected.
Problem was resolved in WinPATS version > 3.11.10.

- When adding fields into WinPATS™ the program displays the message "Runtime error -2147217900 Syntax error" and the program closes down?
When entering fields avoid using special characters (eg " [ ] @ & *). These characters maybe reserved for the program. For example if the description of an item is:
6 " angle grinder
This will generate the runtime error because of the use of quotations in the description. To solve this problem use a description, for example:
6 inch angle grinder
